” Skippie ” was first used to call a 90 year old man on the streets of Charlotte, N. C. in late December 1965. The term was first used by the legendary Cpl. J. P. Donoghue ( 1992126 ); presently living in Lynn, Mass. I know; because I was there. I’m so glad to hear that J.P. Donoghue’s legend lives on, long after he left the Corps.
